Friday, Apple CEO Tim Cook apologized for the new Maps application. With the iOS 6 update on September 19th, the new Maps application from Yelp went out to millions of iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches. This map application is powered by significantly less data than its predecessor, Google maps. iPhone users have found the info in Yelp's maps to be incomplete and off target. Cook has said that patience is needed; more than 100 million Apple device users are using the new maps with nearly 500 million locations searched so far. Cook's official statement is that Apple will continue to work until the "high standard" Apple users have grown accustomed to is achieved.

I'm still yet to download the new update, but I still think that it is worth it. I use maps a lot but I heard some pretty good things about it. Hopefully with time they will fix it.
