Nanny Suspected in Stabbings

In Central Park on Thursday, Marina Krim returned home to find two of her young children, Leo and Lucia, dead of stab wounds in the bathtub; their nanny was nearby with self-inflicted stab wounds in her neck. Krim had left the children with the nanny, Yoselyn Ortega, to pick up her other child, Nessie, from swim class. When she returned to the apartment on the Upper West Side, she entered the darkened rooms and came upon the bloody scene. Neighbors who heard her scream called 911. Police suspect Ortega in the stabbings; she remained hospitalized until Friday.
